மகேந்திரபூபதி மகாராஜாவுக்கு இரட்டை குழந்தைகள் ஒன்றோடு ஒன்று ஒட்டிப்பிறக்கிறது,சில விரோதிகளால் குழந்தைகள் தனித்தனியாக பிரிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்,மார்த்தாண்டன்(அசோகன்) ராஜாவை கொன்றுவிடுகிறார்,இதை கேள்விப்பட்ட மஹாராணி தன் குழந்தைகள் பழிவாங்கவேண்டும் என்று தன் குடும்ப மருத்துவரிடம் குழந்தைகளை ஒப்படைத்து இறந்துவிடுகிறார்,மணிவண்ணன்(எம்.ஜி.ஆர்.)-னுக்கு ஏற்படும் எல்லா உணர்வுகள் மற்றும் உணர்ச்சிகள் கரிகாலன்(எம்.ஜி.ஆர்.)-னால் உணரப்படுகிறது.
