തൊഴില്‍രഹിതനായ അശോകന്‍ തന്‍റെ സഹോദരീ ഭര്‍ത്താക്കന്‍മാരോപ്പം ഒരു വീട്ടില്‍ത്തന്നെയാണ് താമസംധനിക കുടുബത്തിലെ പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചാല്‍ ആവശ്യമുള്ള സമ്പത്ത് ലഭിക്കും എന്ന എ=ഒരു അവസരം അയാളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിലുണ്ടാവുന്നുഎന്നാല്‍ അശോകന്‍ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നത് ആ വീട്ടിലെ വേലക്കാരിയെയാണ്.

Ashokan is unemployed and lives with his joint family and brothers-in-law. He stands to gain a lot of money if he agrees to marry a rich girl. But then he falls in love with the maid of the household.
